Watchcat: The Shape of Water

On Sunday, the 90th Academy Awards took place and we
were happy to see some of the people whom we have met this year got Oscars for their hard work. This includes Kobe Bryant's film "Dear Basketball" winning for best short animated film and animation director, Glen Keane.

And "Coco" for best animated feature film, for writer and co-director Adrian Molina.

We are also blown away that our Black Panther review has reached over 1627 views as well as last week's post hitting 657 views. And we got more ad clicks this week too, bringing our total up to $75.32 or only $25 more clicks away from our $100 goal. The money will be given to an Animal Shelter, Thank you for your support and click the ads below or on right side of your screen. Every little click helps...

Warning!

Some spoilers coming up for "The Shape of Water".

On Saturday, we went to see "The Shape of Water" which I had heard good things about, but didn't know anything about the story. This is usually the best way to watch a movie and I ended up really enjoying it.

I was surprised how much it reminded me of the classic 1954 "The Creature from the Black Lagoon" in design. And I'm happy to say that I like this creature a lot better, since it could blink in a fishy way.

Here's a link to more about the film. Below is something you shouldn't watch unless you've seen the film. There are a lot of spoilers in it, especially in the effects.

And on Sunday, we all learned that "The Shape of Water" won the Best Picture and Guillermo Del Toro was named Best Director. Congrats to all the winners!
